Working pattern

Part time: We are looking to appoint an adaptable and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for 15 hours per week (5 x 8:45 -12:00). For the right candidate there is the option of combining both the morning and afternoon role for a total of 27.5hrs.

Fixed term - Contract type: Fixed term contract until 31st August 2027

Pay scale

Pay: Scale 3 pt 6-7 (£25,989- £26,403 pro rata)

What skills and experience we're looking for

The role will involve supporting individuals across the school with social, communication and learning needs, individually and as part of small groups. In addition, it will involve providing general support as directed by the class teacher. Previous experience is desirable but not essential for the right person.

Suitable applicants will be good communicators and have patience and understanding. The applicant will show initiative and flexibility under the guidance of the class teachers and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and be able to maintain a positive attitude. Applicants will understand the professional nature of the role. Ideally, the successful candidate will have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
