SENCo Administration and Nurture Assistant job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible individual to support the administration needs of the SENCo and deliver specialist nurture intervention for pupils with SEND, that promote emotional well-being, social skills, and readiness for learning.
Your Opportunity
Windmill Primary School is looking to appoint a SEND Administration and Nurture Assistant to work closely with our SENCo and focus on improving outcomes for the pupils in their care. The successful candidate will not only assist the SENCo in leading and managing the provision of special educational needs and all aspects of their administration, they will also plan and deliver small-group nurture provision to support pupils’ emotional regulation, resilience, and social development.

- Someone that is trained in nurture principles or SEMH support
- A colleague that has an understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive practice
- A colleague who is well organised, proactive, and will work well across a variety of teams.
- A compassionate individual with experience in supporting children with additional needs in a school setting
- Someone with high expectations who is committed to raising the achievement of all children
- The ability to use a variety of nurture strategies to engage and support children in their learning
- An excellent role model to children, colleagues and parents, exemplifying our core principle of kindness
- A positive professional actively supportive of the ethos, vision and values of the school

Windmill Primary is a one-form entry school with a nursery, in Wokingham, Berkshire. We are located in an exceptionally well-resourced building, purpose built for children aged 2 to 11 years. We pride ourselves in being a small school where all children are known, valued and have their individual needs recognised and met. We grow and learn together each year and our children are integral to the development of the school, its curriculum and the learning environment.
Our School sits within a newly established cluster of Primary schools, overseen by a Regional Director. Along with Windmill Primary School, our cluster includes the following other schools; Wheatfield Primary School, Floreat Montague Park and Frogmore Junior School.

Pay Scale: Associate 3.1 £25,001 FTE
Pro-rata: £19,417 (actual)
Hours: 32.5 hours, Monday to Friday (8.30-3.30pm), term time only
Contract type: Permanent
