SENCo and Lead Practioner for the Resourced Provision job summary

We are seeking an ambitious and experienced practitioner to join King’s Academy Bay House as SENCo and Lead Practitioner for the new Resourced Provision. This is a unique opportunity to shape the educational vision of our brand new Autism Resourced Provision while leading SEND strategy across the whole school.

In this leadership role, you will drive high-quality teaching, learning and inclusive practice for pupils with SEND, particularly those with autism and Education, Health and Care Plans. You will work closely with senior leaders to ensure that SEND provision is ambitious, well coordinated and fully aligned with the SEND Code of Practice.

You will be a visible and influential leader across the school, modelling excellent practice, supporting colleagues to develop inclusive classroom strategies and ensuring pupils with additional needs are able to thrive both academically and socially.

The role includes line management of the Assistant SENCo, the Resourced Provision Manager and members of the SEND support team. Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals, you will play a key role in strengthening inclusive practice and delivering outstanding outcomes for our pupils.
