We are looking for someone with a high level of expertise, who is ready to move SEN provision forward. Ideally you will hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordination (or be prepared to complete it within the next 3 years) and have relevant experience in inclusion.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a wide range of SEN experience. You will have overall responsibility to lead and manage SEN and inclusion across the schools, developing and implementing curriculum and education programmes structured towards our SEN children, ensuring there is a continual focus on the quality of the education provision.

You will also have the responsibility of ensuring our EAL children's needs are being met as well as monitoring groups of children who are considered disadvantaged.

You will need experience in working with parents, specialists and other outside agencies. This will include experience in filling in SEN forms ie Front door referrals and EHCP’s.

You will need to be able to offer support to class teachers on provision and be able to carry out analysis of class data.

You will have a good understanding of the SEN Code of Practice as well as the Mainstream Core Standards.
