SENCO & Designated Safeguarding Lead job summary

The SENCO & Designated Safeguarding Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and academic progress of all pupils at St Johns, a special school catering to students with severe or profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. As the SENCO, you will be responsible for coordinating the school's special educational needs provision, working closely with staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to provide the best possible support for each child. As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will be the key person responsible for safeguarding and child protection, promoting a culture of vigilance and ensuring the safety and welfare of all pupils.

The closing date for all applications is 9.00 am on Monday 2nd June 2025.

We will review applications on receipt and suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date. We reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

Interview date during week commencing 2nd June 2025 unless an earlier appointment is made as outlined above.
