What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an experienced SENCo to start in January 2026, working one day per week. We can be flexible about the day and hours so this could be worked as one full day, or two mornings for example.
We are looking for someone who:
- can play a key role by ensuring that all pupils with additional needs achieve to the best of their ability
- will contribute to and implement strategic plans for the provision of pupils with EHCPs
- can provide guidance and support that ensures high quality teaching, and effective use of support and resources
- will professionally liaise with outside agencies/specialists to help achieve the best outcomes for pupils
The successful candidate will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- National Award for SEN Coordination
- Experience of working in a SENCo role
- Clear knowledge and experience in all issues relating to the safeguarding of children

Hankham Primary School is a small village style school, currently with 120 pupils on roll, in the idyllic hamlet of Hankham, which lies between Eastbourne and Hailsham. Visitors to our school regularly comment on its beautiful setting.

We are seeking an After School Club Coordinator to run and manage our after school provision. You will be responsible for organising fun, high qualify play provision for our pupils, promoting learning through play and supervising our club play worker(s).
We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude, who can use their own initiative and work as part of a team. You will need a good rapport with children and the ability to communicate with them clearly and calmly.
