What skills and experience we're looking for
- Be a qualified SENCO with expert knowledge of SEND legislation and the Code of Practice.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for SEND and inclusion across the school.
- Work directly with pupils, including those with complex needs within our SEND provision.
- Lead and manage a team of Learning Support Assistants, overseeing effective deployment and training.
- Model and promote outstanding inclusive teaching practice for all staff.
- Manage SEND assessments, EHCP processes, and partnerships with external agencies (including SEND Ops).
- Lead and develop our Thrive programme (willingness to undertake Thrive Practitioner training is essential).
- Contribute actively to school improvement, safeguarding, and the Senior Management Team.
- Demonstrate a collaborative, resilient leadership style with high aspirations for both pupils and themselves.
