The Spinney Primary School is on a journey of rapid improvement. The pupils are ready to learn, and the families are always keen to support their children and the school in a variety of ways. The Spinney is a close community and working at our school is a definite privilege. The successful candidate for this role will be someone who takes time to learn about the unique position of the school in terms of very high attainment and yet an Ofsted grading that requires improvement. Thirst to make improvements in a sensitive manner is essential in this role.

We are seeking a 0.4 part-time SENCo, on a fixed term contract of two years, the salary is offered on a pro-rata basis for Main Scale to Upper Pay Scale (depending on experience) with a SEN 2.1 point. The purpose of the role is to determine the strategic development of Special Educational Needs Provision in the School and to ensure staff understand the needs of pupils with special educational needs. Who will also assist in the promotion, direction, and oversight of high standards of teaching and learning, pupil achievement and progression through effective inclusion for pupils with special educational needs, please see the job description and person specification for the full details of the role.
