SEND Administration job summary

We are seeking an organised ‌SEND Administrator‌‌‌‌ to join our team at Laurus Ryecroft. As a ‌SEND Administrator‌‌‌‌, you will be responsible for providing confidential administrative support to the SEN Department, including the preparation of confidential reports and documents.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in education.

This position is contracted on a 37 hours per week Term Time Only basis. This means you will mainly work when the school is open to pupils and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so. In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks

Job Purpose 

  • Work as part of a team to maintain high standards of written documentation including regular daily tasks such as ensuring SEN files are managed effectively and to a high standard.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Sound educational background including GCSE’s in Maths and English (A*-C) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working in an administrative support role.
  • Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role.

Laurus Ryecroft is an oversubscribed secondary school for 11 to 18-year-old students in Tameside. The school is run by the Laurus Trust and replicates the outstanding education offered by the Trust’s founder school, Cheadle Hulme High School (CHHS), based in Stockport. CHHS is a hugely oversubscribed school and has been named as one of the UK’s top-performing schools in The Sunday Times, ranking as the 15th non-denominational comprehensive school in Manchester and the North West in the annual Parent Power Survey for 2022.

Laurus Ryecroft is a non-selective, non-denominational free school. It opened in September 2018, initially providing 150 Year 7 places in five forms with 30 students in each. A further seven Year 7 forms will be added each academic year until the school is at full capacity. In addition to this the school will have a sixth form of 300 students.
