OHA is seeking an organised and dedicated professional to provide efficient administrative and clerical support to the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) department under the direction of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).
The successful postholder will work during term time only including training days, for 20 hours per week. These hours can be split over 3, 4 or 5 days and the shift pattern preference will be discussed at interview.

Responsibilities
- Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of students with SEND, including their needs, support plans, and progress.
- Data Collection and Reporting: Gathering and analysing data on student progress, identifying trends, and preparing reports for stakeholders.
- Communication: Communicating with parents, staff, and external agencies regarding student progress, support plans, and other relevant information.
- Meeting Organisation: Organising meetings with parents/carers, staff and external agencies related to SEND.
- Supporting the SEN Team: Providing general administrative support to the SEN team, including answering enquiries, emails, and organising paperwork.
Essential Skills:
- Strong Administrative Skills: This includes excellent written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to produce accurate work.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in both written and verbal communication, including the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, students, and external professionals.
- IT Skills: Comfortability with using various IT systems, including Microsoft Office, databases, and other software used for managing SEND records and data.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Plus, the ability to learn: SEND legislation, policies, and codes of practice and the ability to understand the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process, which is essential for supporting students with SEND.
