 We are looking for a hard-working and enthusiastic person with high standards and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with others as part of our school as the SEND Base Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The SEND Team is a very close-knit and effective group of individuals who provide high quality and personalised care and support in the belief that this is key to student success and enjoyment during their time at the Academy. 

As the SEND Base HLTA, you will be expected to lead and deliver a high-quality personalised learning provision for a range of learners with a variety of SEND needs. This will include the coordination of personalised provision for some learners within the SEND Base. Interventions on a 1:1 and small group basis are essential to ensure that all students thrive and make progress from their individual starting points. 

The job will include planning, adapting, and delivering high quality provision and interventions to students with the following needs: 

  • Communication and Interaction 
  • Cognition and Learning 
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health 
  • Sensory and/or Physical
