SEND Class Teacher job summary

Overall classroom responsibility. To plan, prepare and implement an appropriate programme of learning for pupils. To assess and evaluate pupils' work and provide records of evidence of learning and progress. To lead a team of teaching assistants. To lead and monitor a subject/area of responsibility across the age and ability range of the school. To positively promote and contribute to the team ethos of the Academy. This is an exciting time for Exeter House School and Somerset Road Education Trust. After having had a successful consultation to expand the school by two additional classes at the younger end of the school, we are now in a position to appoint a new class teacher.

Our classes are innovative and exciting places to be where classes teams work together to develop solution focused approaches to meet the diverse and varied needs of pupils in our school.
