Are you a passionate and committed advocate for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

We are seeking a SEND Class Teacher, with Qualified Teacher status, to join our dedicated team at our Special school in Loughton, Essex, which was deemed a Good School according to Ofsted in November 2022. You will be responsible for the education and welfare of a designated class of pupils with significant and complex needs.

We are dedicated to providing a nurturing and aspirational environment for children and young people aged 3-19 with severe learning needs.

Experience is preferred but not essential!

Key Responsibilities - SEND Teacher


Support children with SLD and complex needs, providing individualised attention and care.


Deliver a bespoke curriculum tailored to the specific needs of our students through our Learning Pathway approach.


Collaborate with a team of skilled teaching assistants, to ensure each child receives the support they require.


Assist students with personal care needs, showing a willingness to provide necessary support.


Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging the social and emotional development of each child.

You would be joining a team of creative, dedicated and enthusiastic teachers and support staff who make each day as fun as possible for our pupils to support engagement. If you like thinking out of the box to remove barriers to learning, then we are the school for you!

We are a friendly, supportive and highly skilled staff team and work with unique and engaging pupils. Our Team works closely with parents and professionals from a number of other fields. We are a Trauma Perspective Practice (TPP) school, with our values and ethos

deeply embedded in understanding our pupils at the deepest root and responding to them using bespoke strategies to enable them to flourish and make progress whilst in our care.
