What skills and experience we're looking for

Who we’re looking for

We are looking for an experienced SENDCo and school senior leader or an educational psychologist with the ability to drive improvement in SEND across our schools nationally. You will play a crucial role in the trust-wide strategy to secure gains in pupil outcomes, developing SEND leaders and securing systems to ensure we maximise the achievements of pupils with SEND. The position requires an individual who can work both strategically and operationally, modelling best practice SEND expertise and embedding a coaching approach. You will have a track record of advocating for SEND, ensuring high quality SEND systems, supporting colleagues to improve SEND provision at the universal, targeted and specialist level, and you will be proficient in providing actionable developmental feedback.


You will have:

  • Credibility as an experienced and successful SEND leader either as a school senior leader and SENDCo or as an educational psychologist with a demonstrable track record of success, improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
  • The ability to drive high quality identification and provision for pupils with SEN across a national network of schools.
  • The ability to support and challenge senior leaders and SENDCos to implement a high-quality SEND strategy in each of their schools.
  • An expert knowledge of all areas of SEND and the evidence-informed practice to support need.
  • The ability to plan and deliver high-quality CPD.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
