What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience of working with children with additional needs in an educational setting

  • Knowledge of strategies to support pupils with SEND, including autism, communication difficulties and social, emotional or behavioural needs

  • Ability to design and deliver an engaging, inclusive curriculum for pupils with complex needs

  • Strong knowledge of EYFS and/or KS1 curriculum, with flexibility to adapt to learners’ developmental stages

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, parents and external professionals

  • Organised, reflective and motivated to continue professional learning

  • Empathy, creativity and a genuine passion for inclusive education
