About the RoleWe are seeking an inspirational and dedicated SEND Teacher to join Featherby Partnership School, part of the Maritime Academy Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils with a range of additional needs, while also contributing to inclusive practice across the wider school.
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver personalised, engaging learning sequences aligned to EHCP outcomes and the SEND Code of Practice
- Use a range of assessment approaches to track, evidence and celebrate small-step progress, adapting teaching in response to need
- Work closely with therapists and external professionals (SaLT, OT, CAMHS, EP) to embed strategies into everyday classroom practice
- Build strong, trusting relationships with families, ensuring they are actively involved in their child’s learning journey
- Promote inclusive practice across the school and contribute to staff CPD and professional dialogue
- Support the development of regulation, behaviour and wellbeing approaches using trauma-informed and child-centred practice

Who You AreWe are looking for a teacher who is:
- A qualified teacher with a passion for SEND and inclusive education (QTS essential)
- Experienced, or confident in developing expertise, in supporting pupils with complex needs including autism and SEMH
- Creative, flexible and skilled at adapting learning to meet individual needs
- Calm, reflective and resilient, with a strong commitment to trauma-informed practice
- A confident communicator who builds strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues
- A collaborative team player who values shared expertise and continuous improvement
