SEND Teacher KS4/5 job summary
An opportunity has arisen for an outstanding and inspirational teacher who is self-motivated and keen to join Priory School. We have a number of opportunities from KS4/5 across a range of subjects. We will consider both part-time and full-time applications.
The Special Educational Needs and Academies Trust (SENDAT) is a Multi Academy Trust whose provisions support a range of needs including Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health and Behavioural (SEMH) needs. Our core aim is to provide for the continuum of special needs across the Eastern region.
All SENDAT schools and alternate provisions have Trauma Informed practices embedded across the curriculum and SENDAT staff colleagues are given training and support to develop and use these skills in their day-to-day working.
As a member of the close-knit, dedicated teaching team at Priory, you will play a key role in the development of our students, each of whom has an individual Educational Healthcare Plan, and be instrumental in providing a lasting, positive impact on the educational and life outcomes for students with SEND.
As part of the SENDAT, we offer:
- Staff wellbeing day – can be taken at any point throughout the year
- Access to a wide range of in person and online CPD
- Cycle to work scheme
- Health and welfare assistance package with Simply Health, provides financial support with some things like eye tests, and therapies
- Opportunities to participate in Outdoor Learning activities including Duke of Edinburgh and Scouting schemes
- Annual subsidised staff residential activity weekend in Wales
