What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking to appoint a SEND Teacher to join us at SGS Pegasus School.

This is a unique opportunity to support pupils with additional needs to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

  • An in-depth understanding of ASC, SLCN and other associated needs
  • Experience teaching in a special educational setting, particularly working with KS2/KS3 children who are working below ARE following an informal/developmental pathway
  • Ability to adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
  • Knowledge of effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Experience of supporting children with Autism and associated needs
  • Good practice in social inclusion
