What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Assist in managing the provision for pupils identified as having Special Educational Needs; including promoting quality first teaching, effective use of resources, and high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils.
  • Assist in leading the work of the Inclusion team to meet statutory requirements for the provision of pupils with SEND
  • Have a willingness to extend and develop their knowledge;
  • Be suitably qualified and experienced in teaching children with SEND within a primary school setting;
  • Be passionate in using your knowledge of current theory and practice in teaching and learning, and SEND, to provide a highly effective curriculum delivery, in a stimulating and enjoyable way;
  • Be ready to utilise the benefits of an independent curriculum that is innovative and flexible in terms of delivery and content; this is likely to include designing a bespoke curriculum that meets the needs of a variety of learners.
  • Be an enthusiastic team player, willing to go above a beyond to facilitate the learning and experience of the young people in your care.

Pioneer Educational Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and outstanding teaching practitioner with expertise in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs at Foxborough Primary School. This will be a specialist provision based within our mainstream school and will provide bespoke teaching and learning for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to enable them to access as much of the mainstream curriculum as possible and realise their full potential by the time they leave us.
