JOB
OVERVIEW:
Thorpe Acre Junior School is looking for a passionate, highly skilled, full-time teaching assistant to work with children with SEND, either individually, or as part of small groups, to deliver academic, pastoral and behavioural support, whilst successfully nurturing and inspiring our children. This post will initially be within our Communication & Interaction Resource Base.

Our belief is that with reasonable adjustments children can meet their potential and learn alongside their peers. Our team has a wealth of experience in SEND and support each other well.

Commitment to safeguarding

This post is eligible for a DBS check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (2013 & 2020) (i.e. it involves certain activities in relation to children and/or adults) and is defined as regulated under Part 5 of the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006. Therefore an enhanced DBS check for a regulated activity (including a barred list check) is an essential requirement.
