Salary: Grade D 3-4

£6,902.83 pro rata (£24,786 FTE)

12 hours per week (Monday and Tuesday, 8.45am to 3.15pm)

39 weeks per year (Term time plus inset days)

We are seeking a supportive, caring and enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to engage positively with children, communicate effectively and model the school’s values and expectations. Experience of working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) is desirable.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be a valued member of the Pupil Support Team, playing a key role in delivering high-quality care and learning support for our SEND pupils. You will work closely with the SENCO, teachers and senior leaders to support pupils’ learning, emotional wellbeing and individual needs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • A genuine passion for improving outcomes and achievement for children with SEND

  • A strong commitment to pastoral care and a child-centred, nurturing approach

  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

  • Flexibility, enthusiasm and a positive attitude to supporting children’s development
