SEND Teaching Assistant job summary

Hanborough Manor CE Primary School wishes to appoint a SEND teaching assistant to start as soon as possible to work with children across the school.

We are looking for someone with a passion for working with young children with special educational needs to join our dedicated team of staff. You will work alongside an experienced teaching team to provide tailored learning support, help with social and emotional development, and ensure a safe and engaging learning environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on children's educational journey

✔ A good understanding of inclusion, child development, and mental health needs
✔ Strong communication skills to work effectively with parents, staff, and external professionals
✔ A flexible, patient, and creative approach to support pupils with developing communication strategies
✔ The ability to provide structure, routine, and reassurance to help the child thrive
✔ A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children
