SEND Teaching Assistant job summary
Manor Park Primary School, located in the heart of Knutsford, is a vibrant and welcoming school environment dedicated to nurturing every child's potential. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our enthusiastic team.
This part-time role (32.5 hours per week, term time only) offers an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils. The successful candidate will have a strong educational background, excellent communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for working with young children.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both the academic progress and personal development of our students, helping to create a positive , engaging and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that promote intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
- Help maintain a safe, stimulating, and supportive classroom environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
- Promote a strong sense of community, working collaboratively with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Observe and monitor pupil progress, offering constructive feedback and tailored support.
- Work closely with teaching and support staff to enhance the overall educational experience for all pupils.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
