SEND Teaching Assistant job summary

One year fixed term contract; Term Time only; Job Share considered

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils in across the school with send needs

  • Delivering targeted interventions and 1:1 support

  • Encouraging confidence, independence, and communication skills

  • Assisting with classwork and preparing learning materials

  • Supporting pupils during social activities, including lunchtime and trips

  • Working closely with the class teachers and SENCo

Requirements:

  • Experience in a classroom setting is important

  • Ability to adapt to challenging behaviours and situations

  • A sense of humor and high degree of patience

  • Flexibility, as no day is the same!
