Salary- Band 3, SCP 6 - 9 - £23,893.00 - £25,119.00 (FTE) Per Annum

Actual Salary- £18,101.37 - £19,030.19 (Pro Rata) Per Annum

Hours- 32.5 hours per week for 39 weeks per year

A position has arisen for a kind, caring and empathetic individual to support a young child, currently in Reception. They have recently been granted an EHCP. We are looking for an an individual to support them with their education for their time with us at St John Fisher.

The young person is now starting to access more hours in school and with the right individual, will access school full time.Some phrases from the EHCP are as follows:

  • has difficulties with his listening in the context of his hearing loss,
  • will sometimes pace up and down the room and needs a high level of adult support to access activities that he enjoys,
  • play skills are restricted and repetitive,
  • has significant difficulties with his social communication skills,
  • explores self-chosen activities independently
  • loves to play with toy cars and trains
  • happily plays alongside other children

You will be responsible for:

  • Working with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
  • Promoting a named pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
  • Giving support to a named pupil, individually or in groups, so they can access the full curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
