Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a  SEND Teaching Assistant at St Johns School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish.”

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work with teachers to raise the learning and attainment of children.

Support children individually, in groups, or across the class to access the curriculum and achieve success.

Promote inclusion, independence, self-esteem and wellbeing for all children.

Provide personal care, including toileting, feeding, hydration, changing and mobility support, ensuring every child can access school life fully and safely.

Support with assessment, planning, and delivery of learning, including EYFS and individual plans where appropriate.

Contribute positively to our school community through effective teamwork with staff, parents, and professionals.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

We are looking for a caring, dedicated and proactive SEND Teaching Assistant who:

           Qualifications:

Holds a good standard of education (5 GCSEs including Maths and English or equivalent). A minimum Level 2 early years qualification is essential for nursery roles

Experience:

Experience supporting children in a classroom or nursery setting, including with personal care needs.

Skills:

Strong communication skills, ability to support a range of children including those with SEND, good IT skills, and a collaborative approach.
