SEND Teaching Assistant job summary

The children, staff and Trust of St Laurence Catholic Primary are looking for an excellent Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant to join our team. You be supporting teaching and learning in our brand new Enhanced Resourced Base. You will work with pupils with significant SEMH needs, to make learning accessible, irresistible, inclusive and effective. We would also request you take on wider responsibilities within the school.

You will need to:
- Have experience of working or volunteering with children, working with pupils with SEND, specifically SEMH needs
- Display patience, empathy and passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Have high expectations of pupil outcomes and progress
- Develop good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Be flexible, collaborative and supportive
- Be educated to GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and Maths
