Danecourt School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Unqualified Teacher to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable classroom experience in a highly supportive SEND environment, with the potential to remain at Danecourt to complete your Initial Teacher Training.

Danecourt is a specialist primary school for pupils aged 4-11 with severe and complex needs, the majority of whom have a diagnosis of autism alongside additional needs. Every pupil has an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), and our personalised curriculum ensures each child is supported to reach their full potential.

About the Role

As an Unqualified Teacher at Danecourt, you will work closely with experienced teachers, therapists and support staff to deliver meaningful, personalised learning experiences.

You will:

  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging, creative lessons tailored to individual needs

  • Lead learning for small groups and individuals under guidance

  • Contribute to personalised learning pathways across our three curriculum tracks

  • Support pupils’ communication, emotional regulation and independence

  • Work collaboratively with highly skilled staff in a multi-disciplinary environment

  • Gain valuable experience in preparation for teacher training

This role is ideal for someone motivated by inspiring pupils with SEND and keen to grow into a fully qualified teacher within a nurturing and specialist setting.
