Astrea Academy Woodfields is seeking a committed and experienced SENDCO to lead our inclusive provision and ensure every scholar receives the support they need to thrive.

This is a key leadership role within our academy, offering the opportunity to shape SEND strategy, work closely with families and external agencies, and champion the success of scholars with additional needs. You will be part of a values-driven team that is unapologetically ambitious for every child, regardless of background or starting point.

We are looking for a SENDCO who is aligned with our mission to deliver a knowledge-rich curriculum, uphold high expectations, and foster a culture that is warm, strict, and inclusive.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the academy, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Work closely with staff, families, and external agencies to develop and implement effective support plans.
  • Monitor progress and outcomes for scholars with SEND, using data to drive improvement.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff to ensure high-quality inclusive teaching.
  • Champion a culture of high expectations and inclusion for all scholars.
