Armthorpe Academy, part of the Consilium Academies Trust, is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed SENDCO Administrator to join our dedicated support team. This is a key role at the heart of our SEND provision, ensuring our students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities receive the best possible support through robust administrative processes and well-managed systems.

About the Role

As SENDCO Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operation of the Learning Resource Centre and SEND department. You will work closely with the SENDCO and other professionals to manage Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), coordinate annual reviews, liaise with external agencies, and maintain accurate records. This vital position ensures that pupils’ needs are met through timely and well-organised provision.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting EHCP applications and annual review paperwork
  • Coordinating and attending annual review meetings
  • Managing correspondence with parents, staff, and the local authority
  • Maintaining and updating EHCP trackers, reports, and records
  • Managing the SENDCO’s diary and appointments
  • Supporting staff with SEND-related queries and resources

About You

We are looking for a professional with:

  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills
  • Confidence using IT systems (Microsoft Office, SIMS, CPOMS etc.)
  • A calm and diplomatic manner when dealing with sensitive matters
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Previous experience in a school or SEND environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (desirable)
