Further details about the role

Whipman Woods Flying High Academy is a brand-new school, opening its doors for the first time to children and the community in September 2024. Whipman Woods will be the third new school that Flying High has opened, following on from the significant success of Hucknall Flying High Academy and Rivendell Flying High Academy.

This is a sensational opportunity for a new or experienced SENDCo to be at the heart of a staff team, opening a brand-new school. The successful candidate will start in the term ahead of the schools opening, working alongside the Head teacher to ensure that the provision is in place to meet the needs of our first cohort of children. As SENDCo you will be given significant leadership time, alongside a teaching commitment, ensuring that you remain focused on quality first teaching and learning, whilst championing every child to ensure that provision is in place to meet their needs and maximise their potential.

With the benefits of a brand-new building, outstanding staff, a rich curriculum and significant support; together we will deliver a school which will be a source of pride and opportunity for the new development and its children for generations to come. Come be a part of creating something special.

This role comes with great flexibility. We will consider applications from those wishing to work full-time, part-time or with flexible working arrangements. We want the best person for the job, and we will work with you to get the balance right, for our children and for you.
