SENDCo/Class Teacher job summary

The Governors and Headteacher are looking to appoint a SENDCO to join our supportive and driven team at Smithy Bridge Primary School. We are looking for a professional and ambitious person who is passionate about SEND and can offer the best experiences to all of our children. The successful candidate will be a class teacher for 3 days a week and will have 2 days to effectively lead SEND across the school. To be successful in this post, the SENDCO will: Lead and manage the provision of special educational needs and disability (SEND) learning support for identified children Support high quality teaching, effective use of resources and high standards of learning for all children and achievement in-line with the SEND Code of Practice. Ensure that the individual needs of all children with an EHC plan and pupil passport are fully met. Lead our nurture provision Support the whole school delivery of measurable impact on pupil attainment as well as personal. social and emotional development
