SENDCo job summary

Working in the South Shropshire area of our Trust with the following schools:-

Condover CE Primary School, St Edward's CE Primary School, Dorrington, Bitterley CE Primary School, Lydbury North CE Primary School and Onny CE Primary School.

As our SENDCo for these schools, working with the Headteachers and SLT of the schools you'll lead the strategic development of the SEN provision, support staff and families, and ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive. This is a fantastic opportunity to work collaboratively across schools, influence inclusive practice, and shape positive outcomes for our pupils with SEN.

We are looking for:-

  • A qualified teacher with a passion for inclusion
  • Experience in whole-school SEN leadership
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.

The role involves hybrid working across the schools and at home, access to Trust office space will also be available.

The Trust and school are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; therefore, all shortlisted applicants must be prepared to undergo a number of checks to confirm their suitability to work with children and young people, in accordance with the DfE’s “Keeping Children Safe in Education”.
