We are looking to appoint an outstanding SENDCo with experience of working with challenging/SEN pupils.

Glendinning House is a school for children aged from 7 to 19 (key stage 2 to key stage 5) with social interaction and communication needs including those on the Autism Spectrum. Our students will all have Education, Health and Care Plans with a primary needs of Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

Our pupils benefit from a unique curriculum. Project based learning at key stage 2 and 3 with themes set in the context of nature and the outdoors provides access to the national curriculum and the opportunity to develop social communication and interaction skills. Teachers work collaboratively with our team in order to plan schemes of work that provide all of pupils access to the national curriculum through experiential and active learning. At key stage 4 and 5 pupils will have the opportunity to study qualifications suitable to their level and need and linked with our whole school outdoor based theme including GCSEs and A levels.
