There will also be an additional Responsibility Allowance for undertaking this role of RA16 which is currently £5,472.
What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring candidate to effectively lead and manage the SEND provision at the college to cover a period of maternity leave. You will lead on the vision, development and evaluation of the SEND provision as well as the day-to-day operations of managing the Study Support Team and staff timetabling, therefore excellent time management and organisational skills are required.
The successful candidate will have QTS and an understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and how this relates to an educational setting. You will be responsible for the identification of students with special educational needs and/or medical issues, co-ordinating annual reviews and Individual Education Plans and applying on-line for student access arrangements. Liaising with feeder schools, parents, students, staff and other Trust SENDCos and external organisations to ensure the best possible support for students, therefore excellent communication skills are essential for the role.
