SENDCO job summary

We are seeking to appoint an initiative-taking SENDCO, to support and promote an inclusive culture throughout the school, enabling all children to achieve their best, overcoming barriers to learning and participation. The SENDCO / Pupil Champion & / Inclusion Manager holds a very important strategic role in the Senior Leadership Team of the school. It entails co-ordinating appropriate provision for children with special needs and liaising with colleagues, parents/carers and outside agencies. Responsibility for the school’s attendance strategy is also part of the post. The role also includes overseeing the provision and tracking progress for all pupils across school.
