SENDCo job summary

We are looking for a dedicated, experienced teacher with current or leadership aspirations to lead the SEND team. This is an essential strategic role within our College. As Head of Learning Support and SENCo you will be an excellent communicator and be driven to take responsibility for the leadership and development of this key area of school. You will focus on the vision and culture of the department; the quality of educational experience offered to pupils; and will lead the team, supporting students and staff to achieve their best by removing the barriers to learning. You will be a motivational leader responsible for the personal and professional welfare of staff within the department. This includes delivery of the statutory requirements of the SEND Code of Practice. You will oversee the provision for all SEND students, including our Autistic Specialist Provision.
