What skills and experience we're looking for
About the role
You will work with the School Leadership Team to build upon the existing SEND provision, thereby ensuring a long term stable service for our students. You will have responsibility for leading the SEND provision, playing a critical role in enabling the school to achieve and sustain high quality education for our most vulnerable students. You’ll work at both a strategic and operational level, from devising learning and behaviour strategies to managing legal responsibilities. You’ll build positive relationships with staff, governors, parents and external professionals in order to be able to effectively meet the needs of each student.
About you
You will be an inspirational and dynamic leader who has developed strong leadership skills and can demonstrate the ability to instil a purposeful and positive ethos. You will have a compelling personal presence, emotional intelligence and demonstrable commitment to your own CPD. You’ll be an exceptional communicator and able to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. A well organised, self starter who is confident in identifying and implementing change. You’ll hold a National award in Special Education Needs, or be committed to achieving this within 3 years of appointment.
