We wish to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to become our new SENDCo. We are seeking a qualified teacher to develop and enhance our work with our SEND and most vulnerable pupils. The appointment will include a minimum three days a week (0.6) being the SEN leader, together with the opportunity for some teaching for the remainder of the week for a candidate who wishes to work full time.
We welcome applications from teachers with the following qualities:
- Drive and creative flair to support teachers to deliver challenging lessons for SEND learners
- High expectations of achievement, both inside and outside the classroom
- Experience of and empathy towards working with SEND children
- Ambition to be an excellent leader of SEND
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers and agencies alike
- Experience of implementation and monitoring of intervention programmes
- A commitment to the wider life of the school and embrace opportunities for change
A SEND qualification and experience is desirable, however, the school invites candidates who are willing and keen to undertake training
