We are currently looking for a SENDCO to join our inclusion team.
The successful applicant will:
- Have experience and proven success in teaching pupils with special educational needs in mainstream comprehensive schools
- Have experience of leading staff development with relation to inclusion
- Have experience of working in a multi-cultural school and a commitment to equal opportunities
- Have the ability to lead the department's provision for exam access arrangements
- Have the ability to have a small mainstream teaching allocation; subject specialism is not important.
- Have an appropriate SENDCO qualification, either NASENCO or NPQ for SENDCOs, or be willing to complete this within the coming year.
- Have a qualification in exam access arrangement assessment or be willing to undertake this in the future.
