At New Pastures Primary we are excited to be opening a brand new 2 Year Old Provision. To support the team, we are seeking to appoint someone who is passionate about seeing our youngest children thrive and succeed. We want an early years expert to join our team by supporting the teacher as a Senior ASA. If you hold the HLTA qualification then this could be the post for you.
About the RoleAs a Senior Achievement Support Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and other staff to support students in and out of the classroom, helping them to overcome barriers to learning. You’ll provide group support, ensuring every child can access the curriculum and make good progress.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the learning and progress of students across a range of subjects
Work with students with additional needs to help them access lessons and build confidence
Support behaviour management and promote a positive learning environment
Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
Build strong, respectful relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Has experience working with children or young people
Is patient, resilient, and passionate about inclusive education
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Works well in a team but can also use their initiative
- Can step up and cover the class in the absence of a teacher
Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
