Senior Administrative Officer job summary
About this Role
Working within the busy environment of the school office the successful candidate will manage the administration for the school, providing an administrative, reprographics, budget monitoring and reception service, where excellent organisational skills are essential in order to handle the variety of tasks required to be undertaken.

Mill Hill Primary is a vibrant school with 204 children from 3 – 11 and we run a one class per year group structure. We are based in the heart of Northallerton and our community links are very important to us. Staff work very well as a team and we are a warm, welcoming and inclusive school – no two days are ever the same within our busy school office!
We are looking for someone who is:
- An excellent communicator at all levels as you will liaise with parents, staff, contractors and visitors as well as line managing some members of staff
- Efficient, well-organised, able to prioritise and use initiative
- Knowledgeable about office and admin systems and quick to learn school systems including the school’s Management Information System, School Money and CPOMs
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of finance procedures
- Able to use excellent IT skills to produce documents and work of a high standard
- Able to respect and protect confidentiality in all matters
- Cheerful, friendly and caring
- Flexible, as the job is quite diverse!
