Senior Administrator job summary

This is an important role to support the Academy Operations Manager across the Academy. The role holder will be responsible for leading non-educational functions of the Academy including Administration, Finance and Compliance, in accordance with Trust policy and procedures. You will ensure the administrative and organisational activities within the academy are effectively and efficiently maintained and provide excellent service to the overall running of the academy. This will include, but not exhaustive, the following:

  • Provide administrative support to Head of Secondary, dealing with confidential and sensitive issues, including coordination and note taking of confidential meetings.
  • Undertake analysis and interpret data as requested by Head of Secondary/Academy Operations Manager.
  • To support the Head of Secondary / Leadership Team to coordinate events including Open / Parent Evenings etc.
  • To support the wider staff team as appropriate.
  • To type letters, reports, records as requested and preparing files for meetings.
  • To undertake general administration of duties such as printing, scanning and filing.
  • To provide front of house service as directed by Academy Operations Manager.
  • To safeguard the integrity of all Academy and Trust data.

This is a permanent full time role working 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per annum.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who has GCSE/NVQ level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths. Previous experience using Microsoft Office and able to produce, create and edit documents using Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook. You must have experience of working in a school and administration team. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work across a range of challenging issues and people including parents/carers, scholars, staff and members of the wider community.
