Senior Administrator job summary
Normanton Common Primary Academy joined Waterton Academy Trust in 2015. Waterton Academy Trust consists of 13 primary phase schools, 1 specialist SEN unit attached to a school, 1 specialist setting and 4 pre-schools in the Wakefield and Barnsley area. As part of this Trust both staff and children enjoy varied opportunities for collaboration in all areas of the curriculum.
The successful candidate will provide support in a range of areas including general administration, finance administration, complex correspondence, and reception/visitor matters to ensure that the school meets its obligations in all key areas to pupils, parents, staff and the wider Waterton community.
You should be highly organised and a confident communicator who is capable of dealing with pupils, parents/carers, colleagues and other visitors. We would be particularly interested to hear from anyone with previous experience of working in a school office. Experience of working with pupil information and finance systems is also desirable.
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Headteacher, the Trust business team, and in collaboration with administrators across the Trust’s family of schools.

Has good working knowledge of IT including Microsoft packages

Has experience of working within an office environment, ideally with some school/Trust experience
Is adaptive in an ever-changing environment
Is sensitive and fully able to maintain confidentiality
Appreciates the role that efficient administration and organisation can play at the heart of a school
