What skills and experience we're looking for

St Mary’s is a small, welcoming, family school which is the beating heart of the Parish. We are looking for someone who is energetic, well organised, caring, inspiring, highly motivated and committed to keeping our children safe. We are also looking for an individual who will be able to encourage independence, responsibility, kindness and good manners in our children.

You would be expected to:

  • Be pro-active and self-motivated in setting up your resources
  • Prepare the club facilities and activities to ensure high quality standards are met
  • Establish good relations with staff, children and parents
  • Maintain a register of children attending, ensuring children are signed into the club
  • Control access to other parts of the school
  • Administer any necessary basic first aid, documenting all injuries according to school policy
  • Undertake stock checks and place orders for food
  • Record and report all instances of a safeguarding nature
  • Be prepared to undertake relevant training
