Broad Horizons Education Trust are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated and conscientious caretaker to join Bure Park, an outstanding residential specialist academy in Great Yarmouth. Bure Park opened in September 2021 for boys with social, emotional and mental health needs aged 6-16 yrs old. This role is based within a varied and interesting working environment and we welcome applicants with leadership experience working within a caretaker or maintenance role ideally within a school environment.

It is essential that applicants have good administrative and ICT skills along with a good understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance as it applies to school premises such as Health & Safety, COSHH, Asbestos and Legionella.

This is a supervisory role supporting the estates team members therefore applicants must possess excellent attention to detail, organisational and communication skills along with a flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a busy team. Personal qualities are of paramount importance and the person appointed will be expected to be approachable, professional, flexible and reliable.

This role covers all Broad Horizons Education Trust Schools although will be based at Bure Park Specialist Academy in the first instance. The hours for this post will be 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year worked Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 3.00pm and Friday 7.00am – 2.30pm. Flexibility is essential to cover absence.
