We are looking to recruit Senior Designated Safeguarding Leads to join the senior leadership team in each of our special school academies.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone wishing to be part of a highly motivated, exceptional team who strive to establish the highest standards and who are instrumental in ensuring that we change children’s lives.

Bure Park is a special school in Great Yarmouth. We are a residential school catering for boys with complex social, emotional and mental health needs. We have a track record of success and excellent outcomes for the children in our care.

We are looking for an experienced and resilient professional who will take a key role in coordinating the work of several alternate DSL’s covering both the educational and residential elements of the school. Given this is the key senior safeguarding role in the school, ideally the successful candidate will have a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and safeguarding legislation, ideally but not solely in a school context or one focused on young people. Experience of working with young people, families and multi-agency professionals will be an advantage. The successful candidate will be based in school and work with other teams within school. Clearly, the role involves being part of the day to day life of the school and will be expected to work directly with children and families on an ongoing basis.

Please include in the personal statement section of your application why you believe you are suitable for this role in terms of skill, experience and personal qualities.

You must “Submit” your fully completed application by the closing date/time.

Closing date: 9:00am, Friday 12th September 2025
Interviews: Thursday 18th September 2025

We reserve the right to end the vacancy and interview before the advertised closing date, so early applications are encouraged.

Please note that it is normal practice to appoint to the bottom of the scale.
