We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Technician who can effectively handle both the AV and IT support roles. As AV & IT Senior Support Technician, you will be responsible for:

Supporting digital multimedia activities at Sir Bernard Lovell Academy to enhance learning and student opportunities.

Maintaining service desk operations, prioritising tickets, and ensuring service standards are met.

Supporting assemblies, events, and open evenings with AV and IT setup and troubleshooting.

Delivering in-class AV support at Sir Bernard Lovell Academy for subjects like Creative Media, TV and Film, and Photography.

Installing, maintaining, and repairing IT and AV equipment, and managing stock and asset registers.

Advising on AV developments and coordinating equipment refreshes and installations.

Location

The AV aspect of the role would be based at Sir Bernard Lovell Academy in Oldland Common for 2 days a week during term-time. The IT aspect of the role would be based at a secondary school either the south Bristol (Bedminster Down School), Clevedon School or Keynsham (Wellsway School) areas , with potential to select according to your home location.

What You’ll Bring to Futura

Experience: Has experience supporting Microsoft-based systems ideally in an education environment, and/or AV and multimedia equipment.

Skills: Demonstrates excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Brings a collaborative, innovative approach and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Holds a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (desirable).

What We Offer to Support Your Growth

A wide range of CPD opportunities, additional inset days, and leadership development programmes.

Wellbeing initiatives including flexible working, mental health support, and our Employee Assistance Programme.

Generous pension schemes, health cashback plans, and retail discounts.

A commitment to sustainability through our Climate and Nature initiatives.
