This role is based at Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College; the country’s leading sixth form college. It is an excellent place to work where colleagues are recognised for their hard work and supported to develop professionally.

About the Role
The purpose of this versatile role is to be responsible for the running of our vibrant student support area. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the library and the immediate supervision of the library staff, ensuring it remains an engaging, safe and purposeful learning space.
The library is a busy and dynamic space, and you will work closely with students and colleagues to promote positive behaviours and a productive working environment.
You will ensure students and staff are aware of the library facilities available and how to access them and will work collaboratively with curriculum departments to ensure they are aware of the resources available and can access them appropriately.

- Able to use own initiative to drive continuous improvements of the library provision, engaging with key stakeholders
- Experience of successfully working with students / young people in an education setting
- An ability to drive and maintain high standards with a focus on quality
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent
- Knowledge and experience of using MS packages
- An ability to organise and maintain records effectively
- Flexible to changing needs
