SENIOR LEARNING SUPPORT (HLTA) job summary

Cornwall Education Learning Trust are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and adaptable individual to to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team at Newquay Junior Academy.
The Senior Learning Support will supervise classes across the curriculum in the event of the absence (planned or unplanned) of the class teacher and will ensure that pupils are engaged in pre-set work, managing pupil behaviour and ensuring a safe environment.

• Teach classes when teachers are engaged in planning, preparation and
assessment sessions.
• Supervise classes during short term absence of the assigned teacher.

The successful candidate will need to manage the behaviour of pupils whilst they complete the work set by teachers. The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team are essential.

Salary: £13,474 - £15,519 per annum
Contract: Fixed term unitl 31/08/2024

Interview Date: Week commencing 15/01/2024
